Terms of Service
By reading and using the Gaspare app and the gaspare.app website, you fully accept these Terms of Service. If you do not accept them, please do not use the service.
1. Description of the service
Gaspare is a mobile and web application developed by MinuSoftware that lets users view fuel prices at Italian filling stations, based on official data provided by the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT).
The service is provided free of charge and includes:
- Finding stations by location
- Comparing prices by fuel type
- An interactive map of stations
- Saving favourite stations
- Navigating to stations via Google Maps
2. Acceptance of the Terms
Using the app or the website constitutes full and unconditional acceptance of these Terms. They apply to all users, including visitors and anyone accessing the service.
3. Accuracy of the data
The fuel prices shown in Gaspare come from the MIMIT database and are synchronised every morning at 8:00.
⚠️ Important disclaimer: Gaspare does not guarantee that displayed prices are accurate, up to date, or matching the prices actually charged by stations. Prices reported by operators to MIMIT may not be updated in real time. Always check the price at the station before refuelling. MinuSoftware is not liable for any discrepancy between displayed and actual prices.
4. Permitted use
You may use Gaspare for personal, non-commercial purposes. It is prohibited to:
- copy, modify, distribute or resell the service or any part of it;
- scrape the data automatically;
- use the service for unlawful or harmful purposes;
- attempt to access the systems without authorisation;
- interfere with the normal running of the service;
- use bots, spiders or automated tools.
5. Intellectual property
All rights in the Gaspare app — logo, design, source code, text and graphics — belong exclusively to MinuSoftware. The fuel price data belongs to MIMIT and is provided under Italian price transparency law (Decree-Law 73/2022).
6. Advertising
Gaspare shows adverts through Google AdMob in the free version. The adverts are supplied by Google and subject to its advertising policy. We are not responsible for their content.
7. Gaspare Pro: auto-renewing subscriptions
Gaspare is and stays free. The optional Gaspare Pro subscription adds features — no adverts and price history with charts — without taking away anything that is already free.
Plans and prices (VAT included, in euros):
- Gaspare Pro Monthly — €0.99 per month, renewing automatically each month.
- Gaspare Pro Yearly — €5.99 per year, renewing automatically each year, preceded by a 7-day free trial for new subscribers.
- Gaspare Pro Lifetime — €14.99 one-off; it is not a subscription and does not renew.
Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically on expiry, at the same price and for the same period, unless cancelled. The renewal is charged to your store account (Apple App Store or Google Play) within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
How to cancel. You can cancel at any time, at least 24 hours before renewal, from your store account settings: on iPhone and iPad in Settings → your name → Subscriptions; on Android in Play Store → Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling stops future renewals: you keep Pro until the end of the period already paid for.
Free trial. If you do not cancel before the 7 days end, the subscription continues as a paid one. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Payments and refunds. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple or Google: Gaspare neither processes nor stores payment data. Refund requests must go to the store that handled the purchase, under its own policies. Subscriptions are managed technically through RevenueCat.
Restoring. If you change device or reinstall the app, you can recover your subscription with Restore purchases in the app's Gaspare section, using the same store account.
Price changes. Any price change will be communicated in advance and, where the store requires it, you will be asked to confirm it: without confirmation the subscription does not renew.
Consumers. Nothing in these terms limits the mandatory rights you have as a consumer under the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005).
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MinuSoftware is not liable for:
- errors, omissions or inaccuracies in the price data;
- direct or indirect damage arising from use of the service;
- interruptions or unavailability of the service;
- decisions you take based on the data shown;
- extra fuel costs arising from out-of-date prices.
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Availability of the service
We work to keep the service available, but we cannot guarantee 100% uptime. We may suspend it for maintenance, updates or force majeure without notice.
10. Changes to the service
We reserve the right to change, suspend or discontinue the service at any time, with or without notice, and to change its features or access conditions.
11. Changes to the Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be announced through the app or the website. Continuing to use the service after they are published constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Italian law. For any dispute, the court of the consumer's place of residence has jurisdiction, under Italian Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code).
13. Alternative dispute resolution
In case of a dispute, consumers may use the European Commission's ODR (Online Dispute Resolution) platform: ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr
